    If none of your fans are striking wires, then it's possible that one of your fans has a speed-relative tick. At some rpm's, the ticks won't be of high (or low) enough frequency to be audible, but when you get to a "sweet spot" the fan motors might drag a tad, producing sound. I'd recommend you d'l speedfan (google it), and modulate the fans manually and see if you can pinpoint a fan/rpm where you can consistently duplicate the ticking noise.

    Clicking sound=moving part, and the only moving consistently moving parts besides drives (optical, hdd, fdd) are your fans.

      If he con only just about manage opening up his case and finding where the noise comes from, i don't think he'll be able to use Speedfan.

            Dude you are all ignorant. the obvious reason is as follows.

            It's because theres little elves that make the computer run. Apparently theres one elf who has a hunkering for twinkies and you don't have any in your house so he's mad and rapidly kicks a n00b producing the sound.
