help please

my internet on my stationary computer does nor work, but i can log in on msn. i can't open a web page in ie or on mozilla and when i try to log in to xfire it stopd on connecting to sever (i think it's a server problem )
but i can go to internet on my laptop.

what can i do?

Check in your router the MTU size as that caused me a few issues before (youll need to fined the MTU size from ur ISP).

Disable all firewalls and see what happens?

i don't think it's the router becous i connected internet direct to my computer and it's still the same
