    QX6700 and a QX6800??

    Hey,

I like looking around from time to time and I found something interesting as stated in the title. No, it's not the X6800, with 4mb cache, it is the QUAD.

I can't make any sense of it??? What is the difference? They are both the exact same CPU other than the fact that you can waste an additional 400-500 dollars on a higher pre-set multiplier by the manufacturer... But its the extreme variant so its an unlocked multiplier!!!

I wonder if someone will actually buy the QX6800 over the QX6700... As far as I'm concerned, it just helped lower the prices for all the other cpus by a bit

they're a waste of money for gamers, maybe more appropiate for people with deep pockets who buy them to boost their ego's

Very much like the FX line of processors for AMD.
