    Question

    ok i have a Nvidia 7300 GS and an ATI RADEON X1550

    i just got an email for an Nvidia 8600 GT i was just wondering if it was better then the 2 cards i have if so im gettting rid of those and getting it but if the 2i have are better ill stick with it

    All things considering, ditch those two and get the 8600 as fast as you can. Those two cards don't even hold a candle to the 8600GT.

      8600gt is a MUCH better card than either of those.

      Strictly as a bonus, the 8600gt will let you load DX10 games if they ever make one. Not that you'd want to enable the DX10 eyecandy with an 8600.

      How much? If it isn't erm...exactly free...then you might be able to do better with some of the fast cheapish DX9 (thinking either x1950pro, or 1950xt, or a money-saving 7600gt for somewhere between $90 and $170) cards that will play anything from any major developer very well for the next couple of years.

      Well, not halo 2. But that game apparently sux on the PC anyway.

      And, it's developed and published by the Empire Of Evil Coding Institute of Lost Souls.
