Well...my current rig is out of date and pretty much sucks penis. Here is my idea for my new one.

One question, what exactly is bottle necking and will I do that with my Processor / GFX Card?

Good point....

The case you have chosen is damn nice (I have one and love it), graphics card is very good, however, as others have said go Core 2 Duo. I recommend an C2D E6320 overclocked to 2.8ghz.
You may also want to look at an Intel 965 chipset board such as the P5B deluxe, or Gigabyte DS3, both of which are excellent boards.
I agree with Scinto on the RAM.

You should also get a cold cathode to light up the inside of your case, makes it look damn nice. You want a 30cm (12") Blue one like this: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16800888026

Yes, I havent been on in a while and wasnt paying attention about the Intel / AMD race, so I am guessing Intel is kicking some ***?

Also, should I get a PCI Exhaust Fan for that GFX Card?

Yup, Intel is kicking AMD's *** at the moment with their Core 2 Duos.

You could get an exhaust fan or you buy a new heatsink fan from somewhere like Arctic Cooling, thermaltake or Zalman. Most of them are dual slot coolers.

1) OCZ makes good RAM

2) "Cross-Fire Ready" is a *cough, cough* marketing specification, not an engineering one so it really isn't an issue.

3) I like quality + price. If OP is going to mail the rebate, the ocz ram probably has a little better overclocking potential and better heatsinks according to the reviews I've read.

If OP has trouble remembering to send in rebates, those purty gei(l) sticks scinto linked or these mushkins would make more sense (and fewer dollars).

Nah. Built in.

Oh, and to answer your question about bottlenecking, that is when one component could deliver better performance, but another component can't transfer data fast enough. Yes, your cpu will bottleneck your gpu and lower res (12x10, maybe even at 16x12, i don't have the actual bandwidth numbers in front of me). And no, it really doesn't matter for all practical purposes because a C2D + 8800gts + 2gb of pc6400 will deliver the goods. If you start to really get bothered by the bottlenecking, save up for a nice 22" 5ms monitor and make your gpu work a little harder with respect to your CPU. :P

You've gone and done it and declared another opening of the the Great PSU Wars. Here I'll shoot first.
My suggestion: Antec Trio 550W $90-$25 rebate + free shipping = $65. I've got the 650W model, and it's a very, very stable PSU.

Just wander around any of the major psu review sites (jonnyguru.com, etc...), all the people that really know psu's (meaning not you or me) have been warning people away from them for awhile. They run too hot, and really like to die a month or two after the warranty is up.

Antec used to make decent psu's, but I don't trust them anymore.

i use spcr (www.silentpcreview.com) as a point of reference for informed reviews because i build quiet, stable, reliable pc's and because they use sound testing methods for both efficiency, load-handling, and acoustics. i did sit out the smartpower series, jumping from the truepower to trio's. maybe in doing so i missed my opportunity to hit the bad psu lottery with a company that deals in high-volume, non-bling parts?
