are the psu requirements on that one in ur link same as one in mine and will a bigger psu hurt any thing else in my pc or is it jsut plug in and good to go

You've got a 17" monitor and you're shopping for a +$200gpu? Hmm, let's think about this for a sec. Best bang for your gaming buck, imho: buy a 20" widescreen and an x1950pro and an extra gigabyte of ram. The x1950 is significantly faster than the 8600gt in DX9 games (and, ostensibly, in DX10 games...if we ever see a good one...when you run it in DX9 mode :) ) and it's a hundred bucks less.
Pair it with another gig of ram, a 20" widescreen, you're gaming pretty sweet on the rig you've got for another couple of years, until a really good game that has yet to be announced says something to effect of "Fully DX10 compatible video card" under the System Requirements tab.
Here, I'll lead off with a suggestion:

Edit: Oops. Skimmed right past the new build. Will leave the suggestion above in case you're interested in a nice budget upgrade. I'm not an AMD guru by any stretch, so others can probably give you some advice. On the other components, if you're going to spend $~230 on a gpu, go ahead and get a good one for $289-$20MIR=$269 and that if you're going to spend ~$150 on a PSU, go ahead and spend $160 and get the best:

for maximum longevity, i'd recommend intel core 2 duo e6600 and a 680i mobo, but if you like AMD, then i'd be crazy not to support someone not buying into a company that gives us a second choice. :)
other than that, if your determined to plop down a few thou for a gaming rig for the next three years, you've got it covered.
going to need Vista to take advantage of all that ram, though...and still...a whole lot more than i'd ever buy. but that's me, not you. :)

Edit--and you might want to get a good CPU cooler. I don't know how well the stock AMD ones perform or how loud they are, but I've got the LGA version of this AC Freezer 64 Pro and it's nearly silent at full blast and keeps my 1ghz oc'd pentium d 915 (3.75ghz) under 55C under load:
