PSU enough to power my system?

Seagate Barracuda 160 GB 7200RPM Internal ATA/100 Hard Drive
Sound Blaster Live 5.1 Sound Card
LG CD-R/RW Drive 52x24x52x
Toshiba DVD 16x/CD-Rom 48x Drive

I have the 350 watt im going to replace,Would this power supply be enough to power my whole system with the new video card or should i go with around 500watts?

You need to look at your mobo manual. It will recomend what wattage PSU you will need for your system.

Alsoyou might want to calculate how much each component is going to need. The manuals usually tell you the power consumption.

Generally is you dont have the manuals anymore, you need to be looking 400W+ .

you shouldn't have any problems with the new psu, always replace psu's that come with cases as they are pure poo...IMO

That PSU should work very well for that system. A single 7600GT needs a minimum of 350W and 18A on the 12V rail. That PC P&C unit has 470W & 26A.

Output:
+5V @ 32A
+12V @ 26A
-12V @ 0.8A
+3.3V @ 28A
+5VSB @ 2A
continuous = 470W
peak = 520W

It should be fine, I used to run my setup on a 300 watt psu (don't know how it didn't blow) and it worked for the whole time I used it, until recently I bought a new psu.

Well, I know for the pentium 4's and core 2 duo's etc. you need the 4 pin cpu connector, which most modern psu's have.

But, everything else is pretty much the same for each motherboard, so you should be fine.

Yep, it should say on the website or wherever you are buying it from that it is ready for P4, INtel Core 2 Duo, or whatever your processor is.

so as long as it says P4 im good right?

If those are american dollars ($), I'd suggest you shop for a better PSU.

This one is tons better (active pfc, better hold up time, three rails, higher amps, more watts, 5 year warranty...the list...she goes on):

Where did you get the 18A on the 12V rail info for a single 7600GT,from your box?
Because it doesnt say it on the XFX website or new egg.

I Googled "7600GT power requirements," looked at several different maker's cards and quoted the most common specs.

You should get the 8600GT its better than the 7600. I've heard alot that it is about the same as 7900 but with dx10 support.
