    Pop up problem

I have just started playing BF2 using a 8800gtx card with 768mb ram in a dell xps machine. The computer is a very high spec but yet I seem to be getting quite a bit of popup of objects as I move around levels and lighting/texture changes when i get close to vechicles etc

For example in dragon valley with everything turned up to full when I start on the aircraft carrier and walk towards the helicopter as I get close to it appears as though someone is flicking a light switch on as the lighting is activated and it goes from a dark looking object to a fully lit object.

Also as I move around in a helicopter or on foot etc I don't really get any popup of terrain but building objects suddenly pop up in front of you and it just doesn't look right.

I was expecting this card to eat through this game so my question is, is this a hardware or software issue? Will I always get some amount of popup/lighting problems as it just the game or is there a setting that you can change to increaee the field of view (or how far into the distance objects appear)?

    Many thanks

    Trevor
