    Framerates for SP and MP

My computer's spec isn't something to brag about but it is a decent piece for a laptop.

    Specs are: Intel Centrino Solo @ 1.86Ghz, 1GB Ram, X1400 256MB Hypermemory.

Now this spec allows me to play BF2, and PoE2 on SP no problem with fps hovering around 35-45 depending on maps at 1028x768. The problem I have is when I go online. Normally a SP game with 32 bots I have fps around 25-40fps but if I just go to one online server for either BF or PoE2, my fps drops to 11-14 when there is only 1-2 person in the server including myself. Is there a cause for this?

well this is normal but i dont know the reason why it does it. Its probaly because of communticating with the server etc!

So its normal that your framerates fall by like 20-30 by just going online? :wtf: that doesn't make any sense.

I'm thinking that my fps is somehow capped when online, is there a config that can change this ?

I had a similar issue, but have a rig that allows me to play everything at full spec on single player (8800 GTX card and 4 gig ram with dual chip).... however on online games I have constant connections problems until I drop the resolution to 1024 x 768.... Is playing on line capped in anyway ..... is this my broadband connection (2 Meg)

            Help appreciated
