Ok there are a few improvements to be made I think.
That power supply is pretty poor. I think you should get something decent for a build like this as a bad power supply can ruin the whole system. I would go for something like this:
Corsair HX Series 520W
Also with a budget in mind I don't think it is worth it getting that cpu when you can get one which is £50 cheaper and you only lose 0.27GHz. If you want to make that 0.27GHz up you can easily overclock it anyway:
Intel Core 2 Duo E6600 (2.4ghz)
Also I don't think a sound card is worth it as the onboard sound on motherboards these days are good. You could buy the system without the sound card and see if the sound is alright and if you want better sound you can always buy that one.
Here is a pretty good, cheap motherboard with two pci-e slots if you want to add in another graphics card later:
Asus P5N-E SLI
The last thing I would say is try and get a dx10 graphics card like uncle_adolf posted as it is very good and will be a better buy for future games (eg crysis!)

Thanks for all the help, with all the upgrade the total cost is £737.33

You have to love google checkout, that brought down my price by so much

So will i be running on med/high?
And how far do you think i could overclock the processor with my case?

You'd probably get 3Ghz without breaking a sweat.

You shouldn't be running on med/high with that setup. At 1680x1050 you will probably easily get max with that. Especially if you get the 8800GTS like I said.

Awsome, i feel so happy that my new comp will be able to thrash my friends. £1.3k dell xps laptop

they actually do suck tho. Just have to wait now for the last bits of the money to come in to buy it all now

Wow thats amazing how cheap that is for such a good pc. I'm hoping to build something like that over the summer. One thing, if you are looking to do serious overclocking I would recommend getting an aftermarket cooler as the ones which come with the processor are not that good. Maybe something like this:

Exactly, prices have dropped incredibly over the last few months.

I know its pushing it a bit but if you can push yourself £180 you will get a Quad Core CPU.

Intel Core 2 Quad Q6600 (2.4GHz 1066MHz) Socket 775 L2 8MB Cache

£325 (£315 w/GC).

I'd suggest getting the Quad Core, you'll be glad in the long run.

That quad core just pushed the boat to far out into a whirlpool in the middle of the ocean. I don't think i'll be getting a quad core for atleast 4 years, i will just keep overclocking over the years till i cant then i'll get a quad core. For me being at school most of the time i cant get cash like most of you peeps out there. Since the intel i have in there is fine for bf2 atm, I won't need to be overclocking for a while.

Just built a new rig ...

Asus P5N32-E SLI 680i
BFG 8800GTS (320)
Intel E6700 (overclocked to 3 GHz - stock cooling)
2x2gig (4 gigs total) Patriot pc6400 memory
Seagate Barracuda 250G HardDrive w/16mb cache
Vista Home Premium 64bit

This system just rox! I am amazed how much faster and smoother BF2 is.

Anyways, the powersupply is very important, but you still dont have to spend $250 to get a good one. It isn't much more to get the 680i over the 650, so do that (and its cheaper than the Striker). The E6600 is an great chip, but the E6700 is too, and I think its that much less of an overclock to get to 3GHz ...futurewise, get that. Definantly get the 8800GTS, and use the onboard sound. I had an Audigy, and I think the onboard is just as good, and no Vista driver issues. You HAVE to use the 64bit Vista, the 32 won't see your ram over 2.75 gigs. I bought two 2gig ram stix because I know I will want to at some point, go to all 8 gigs this mobo is capable of. I now have 4, and 2 empty slots :-) This motherboard comes with 'Extreme Tweaker' in the bios ...easy, easy overclocking.

With money saved with a $100 power supply, and using onboard sound, I saved enough money to buy a second 8800GTS! which is on the way ...lookin forward to that. Tell you what, your gonna love it when that thing is up and running. Have Fun!

i was wondering about the google checkout thing and if i brought 2x 1gb sticks that are each over £30 i get £10 of each, i wasa thinking how good are these sticks? Also i was wondering how many sticks of ram vista premium can utilise?

I am not too sure about those ram sticks but I think you should try and get pc6400 ram as it is faster. There are some cheap sticks on overclockers.co.uk.
Do you have to buy each component separately to get the £10 off on ebuyer?
