ok so i have a Dell E510.. everything is stock except my 750watt power supply i added.... but my problem started before i added a new ps so thats not the problem. i have ports in the back of my computer where i can plug in my headset (audio and mic) and also ports in the front of my pc where i can also plugg my headset in, so i guess it just user preference which they choose to use... but when i plugg my headset into the back of my computer my mic doesn't work for some reason, so I'm guessing my mic port is broken or not enabled .. i don't know.. ? then when i plug my headset into the front ports my mic works but then i have this static feedback in my audio whenever i wear my headset, basically i can hear my hard drive.., i know that sounds weird maybe but yah, whenever my computer accesses stuff i can hear the hard drive doing it with my headset,, i dunno =/ maybe somebody can help :) i don't have a sound card either, so its whatever is built into my mobo..
