Coupla Questions - Multiple connections from one network/Dual Monitors

Hi guys

couple of questions I would appreciate some advice on:

1 - Dual monitors. So I have my 21" CRT for playing BF2 on. Is there a way I can utilize my other 17" TFT as a second screen, perhaps to show the match scores or something like that? If not, I assume I can have that just showing Windows desktop so I can browse the 'net between matches or something? My gfx card has two DVI outputs, so I understand that I'll need a vga/dvi converter.

2 - My friend is coming round with his PC in a couple of weeks, and we intend to play some BF2 on the internets. Is there anything I need to be aware of, with two connections to BF2 servers from the same internet connection? I'm going through a router.

I don't think you can play two different accounts on the same internet connection. If you can I would like to know how. My buddy tried it with two accounts and it would not let them both play. I don't think he port forwarded his router this might help. I personally have not tried it. let us know how it goes.

If you both play at the same time on the same internet connection, you'll get same net lag. You'll lag every other second, and will be all around jerky.

Youll be fine mate ive done it with 4 pcs on 8mn Broad band.

For the monitors I turn mine off as the FPS goes way down. And ive never seen anything like that yet, be a good system thoe.

I could do with testing it before he comes, so might have to rebuild my old PC and get that up and running and see what happens. If it comes to it, I can always jump on my neighbours WIFI

Sir SAS - that's a shame, because I think it'd be great. I might try and see what kind of FPS I get.

I didn't have any lag when I played BF2 with my wife and friend on the same connection. I have a D-Link 4300 with Gamefuel, though. It didn't do quite as well when I had a crappy Linksys router, though.

I've done it before and gotten the hedious lag.

And I lag just playing on my own with only BF2 using the net... We don't all share the same speed =P.
