Lets have a look:
1. Os is fine, I've had no problems with it so far.
2. HD is great, I have one and it's really quite quiet, fast, and dependable (plus the 5 year warranty doesn't hurt
).
3. Sound card is ok, should be good.
4. Case is fine, I really don't have an opinion on it.
5. GPU is awsome, I wish I could afford one

6. Monitor is meh, for that gpu you're going to want at least a 22"-24" monitor (at least 1680x1050 res, 1920x1200 preferable), otherwise the gtx is complete overkill and you'll want a gts instead.
7. The patriot is fine, but you'd save money instead by going with this (not to mention 2 kits of this will oc better and still get you the 4gb of ram you want):
If you can't wait until it gets back in stock, the patriot will do.
8. Again, proc is fine but I'd personally go with a e6600 and just oc it (and get a better heatsink, of course).
9. Mobo is ok, though I'd either go with something like a gigabyte ds3 or a asus 650i mobo.
10. Drive is fine, no complaints (just remember to get an extra sata cable or two, since the mobo will only come with 2).
11. Mouse and kb are fine, though the g5 mouse is also pretty good.
12. You forgot the most important item, your psu! I'd go with either this:
Got plenty of power, but if you want something that might last a little longer:
Plus, it has the new 8pin connector for the next gen gpu's.

some good points there ...except ...
I liked and bought the Patriot Ram, because I know in a few months, I will want to get the other 4 gigs. If I bought 4 one gig stix, I would have to try to sell or otherwise get rid of them ...why not just add to them? The voltage will have to be tweaked, for stability, but not much.
From what I have read, the 6700E can overclock well also. I saw it can be OC'd to 3Ghz without any additional cooling needed...not sure I believe that, but thats what I read.
Good point about the Power Supply. I have, and would recommend to anyone, a RaidMax RX-630A ...very efficient, extra big fans, and shines blue, which is kinda cool. But whats really nice, is that it comes with the cables bundled ...makes all the cables and connections very clean, instead of a bunch of wires running all over the place, so things look nice and neat when your done. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16817152026
For the mobo, i went with the 680i (asus P5N32E-SLI), although I have read about some problems with the 680i chipset, everything I have seen about the 650i, has been solid. Also, both boards come with great onboard sound, so no need for an additional sound card (save some money there). Your call of course, ...but I think your on track to end up with a nice rig.Comment

Except no.
1. Nobody needs more than 4gb right now, especially if all you do is game. 4x1gb is faster and cheaper, and will last until ddr3 comes out in full swing.
2.The e6600 oc's just as well, and is cheaper,so why not get it? I had mine undervolted sitting at 3ghz for a long time (until I went quad).
3. That psu is a pile of crap, and will get the unholy hell stomped out of it by either of the two psu's I showed. Honestly, why do people always cheap out on the most important part of any computer?
4. Either the 650i or 680i mobo's will make him happy, but the onboard sound is mediocre at best, and will be easily surpassed by the x-fi.Comment
