Thats an AM2 socket mtoherboard. You need socket 775. And it needs to be Core 2 Duo compatible. Everything else looks alright. (i haven't looked at your psu choice yet though)

Alright, I'll look into that motherboard and a new case....

My current case is server size and looks awesome, I can't seem to find a similar one still

If your planning to build this summer I would wait until your ready to order parts to finalize a build. A lot can change in a few months as far as prices and parts go (like the ATi card release).

I don't like ATI cards... too many bad experiences... and I'm planning now so I can get a good build + prices may drop

I like your choices. All I would add, depending on budget of course, is maybe go up to the E6700 processor, exchange the Barracuda HD for the 16MB cache model (every milisecond counts), and since the motherboard is SLI ready, add a matching graphics card. You didn't mention your Operating System, but I would assume you would use Vista. (...and it has to be the 64 bit version, the 32 bit won't recognize 4 gigs of ram, also to take advantage of DirectX10) Gotta plan for the future. I am about to built a similar system myself, and to answer your question, everything is compatible. Oh and, thanks for ram headsup. What you found is less money than buying 4, 1 gig sticks, like I was about to. GLHF

I'm planning a similar build, but going with a 680i chipset. either evga, or asus.

Just ordered all my stuff...

Asus P5N32-E SLI w/680I chipset

(went back and forth about this...should I have just gone with the Commando? ...different chipset, and this system is all about graphics)

This should be good for awhile, until that $1000 video card comes down in price a bit (or I win a lottery)...and I hope this will fit in my case!
