    My new monitor should be...

    Hey,

Well, I am in a pickle now that it has come down to a new monitor. Ideally I don't want it to exceed much more over 400 with tax in tops. I'm looking at at least a 20" with 2-5 ms responce times.

I would also like to purchase this monitor from Canadacomputers.com or Tigerdirect.ca. I figure Canadacomputers.com will be the better choice as there prices are usually lower than tiger's - not to mention are closer to home and easier on the gas =D. Only thing Tiger has to offer is mail in rebates usually.

Right now I've got my heart set on this Samsung monitor, for its specs and quality.

I know that I can trust Samsung to deliver a good monitor - being an owner of one for 4+ years. I see only one dead pixel (barely noticeble either) and not to mention I have left still images on for excess amounts of time.

Anyways, I'm just looking for some opinions and thoughts as to which monitor I should get.

Looks like a beautiful top-o'-the-line monitor. For what it's worth, the people at futurelooks loved it all throughout a five-or-so page review. Worth a look, maybe:

Maybe... But soon after that my connection came crawling to a halt, only thing I could open was google home pg so I'm thinking the blame goes on to my satelite connection now. =/

I have the Samsung SyncMaster 225BW and I LOVE it! I highly recommend it...it isn't that much more than the one you have listed.

True, but it gives and adds on different levels.

Right off the top I saw that it had a weaker contrast ratio of 700:1 but is also 2" larger.

The only reason to buy it seems to me is for 2" more, and that will sacrifice some of the quality in the images...

With that said, I think a 22" monitor would be a very tight squeeze on my desk (monitor goes in the middle between two segments that are higher than the segment the screen sits on).

Still leaning towards the 206, but I'll give more thought to the 225 still.

Yea, that Samsung looks good to me too.

I have a 19" LCD and it's hard to fit on tiny desks.
