It is for any connection wireless, wired, satelite & even 56k

It just adjusts some network settings. I've been using it for the last 5 years or however long it's been out, it depends on your standard windows settings and your habits as to whether it'll make a difference. The main thing to look at is RWIN, MTU should always be as close to 1500, 1492 for PPPoE connections.
