    R600 Benchmarks & Beyond

You can pick up a 8800 GTS 640mb for around £250, if the R600 drops in at that price YIPEE...

Finally reliable source! But nothing impressive though, after... how long actually? ½ years? Or more? I'd expect them to come up with something impressive. Considereing the price, 8800 GTS 320MB sells for very nice price.

R600 does audio and physics (well) if you believe the marketing hype.

      I'll wait and...

      ...

      ...

...I'll think about dropping another $250 on a part when the price approaches that mark.

What I've read it is a realtek chip, same as most motherboards have. Difference between onboard audio and real audio like creative X-Fi is huge anyway. And how many actually buys a R600 to use it in home theater? And they all are loud as hell for that purpose.
