i have a 7300(geforce) pretty darn cheap. i play on low, but medium works. it would work better if i had more RAM though.

i got 2 gigs, and a Pentium D 3 Ghz processor, with the 7600 gt, and it runs pretty good, but if your going for something cheap, you can probably run bf2 on a $50 graphics card. And why cant i play smoothly with a 7600 gt (all high, 0x AA)? you forum people lied to me !

Speaking about video cards, which card will give you better performance in BF2: radeon x800xl or radeon x1300 pro?

i think the x800 is faster. go check on tomshardware vga guide.

to the op, you want something like a 6800 or a 7600gt

You get a 7600GT for under 150$ and it's pretty good. I use 6600GT with everything on Medium and no lag.

x800 is vastly superior to the x1300, and it is not at all a bad card for BF2 if you pick one up cheap or used (cheaper).

The only advantage of the x1300 is 500 additional x's on the box.

That's CPU limitation, most likely. I'm running very nicely with a 7600GT + Core 2 Duo.
