Re: I Think i need a new battery...
You might think about removing the battery and disposing of it. Failing, unreliable batteries can turn into tiny incendiary bombs.
As for "specs", I'm confused as to which specs you're trying to find. If you're talking about general hardware, you can hit start-->run-->type in dxdiag and hit enter and your specs will magically appear.
If you're just looking for specs on a new battery, I'd suggest ebay:

Criminey that's a rip-off, though.Comment

That's a good choice if and only if you're sure you don't need the CD/DVD drive while you've got it on battery power, or if you've got an external optical drive to use.Comment

Re: I Think i need a new battery...
Not exactly. They have cells that are a similar size to AA batteries (probably 9 of them) but they will have connectors welded to them instead of the little button on the + end that consumer batteries have and they are lithium-ion chemistry which is very different from nickel-cadmium (NiCd) or nickel-metal-hydride (NiMH) consumer AA batteries. In other words, you can't use generic battery chargers on them and you can't easily replace the cells when they die (because they are potentially explosive as megawhompertoo posted).
Also, note that the "new" replacement battery megawhompertoo linked to has a higher capacity and is also more likely to actually hold its rated capacity than a used battery that is only guaranteed not to be DoA.Comment

OR, you can accept the fact that your laptop is a desktop replacement. Almost all laptops that play games are horrible for battery life. I gave up on my laptop battery a long time ago. Now my laptop is almost 1lb less when I carry it to the airport and plug it in, or in hotels and such. I made the battery cover into a dust cover and glued it in place. Laptop batteries are stupid expensive and since I rarely used mine anywhere without a power source, I accepted defeat.Comment
