    Wireless Usb Adapter Connection Problems

Hey,I got a usb wireless adaper, all works well, good connection and speed. But, when I play bf2 or any other online game that needs a constant flow, every once and a while, the connection will like "pause" and then it will come back. It doesnt lose connection, just pauses. Any ideas on why this is?

Hmm, could be a number of things. Can you not get a PCI card instead? Better all round IMO.

      Disable 802.1x authentication, apparently.

You might also want to disable the Wireless Zero Configuration service and use your own wireless tool.

I'll have to try both of those, thanks.

also, I had a pci card, but since i got my new mobo, it would freeze up my computer in windows. weird thing is though, it wouldnt freeze when running linux. But, I just ditched it and got a usb one, plus im out of pci slots lol.

Also, follow the instructions in the link, especially the last bit about USB devices.
