if you plan on gaming...try to get a desktop...way more customizable...and i think electronics at bestbuy is more expensive than other websites

You Sir, are an ***! (Yes, that said A+S+S!)

Don't ever say you can replace a desktop with a laptop. No laptop you can ever buy will be as good as a desktop for things such as speed, upgradability, price.

I would agree to stay away from amd at this time. the performance gain is well worth getting an intel 'core 2'. if you plan on doing any gaming, make sure it has at least a mid range nvidia or ati dedicated graphics card. if you plan on doing any traveling with it do not get a 17" screen.

Surely not.... a mouse, keyboad and network cable at the same time?

In all seriousness, all but the most expensive laptops are absolutely sh1te at gaming.

try upgrading your desktop? wuts ur specs...i definitly do NOT recommend any laptop for 500 dollers lol...i thought of buying a 1500 doller laptop a month ago...but i ended up building my own desktop...one of the best choices i ever made.
