    Teamspeak/Ventrilo

I don´t have any of the above but I´ll probably get one of them in the near future. What is the advantages/disadvantages of the two? Which one is the most used? Is there any other software?

    Please share..

    Almost forgot:

Why is it that all the other squadmembers can speak while dead (in VOIP) but nothing happends when i push the button?. What setting must i change?

Nah, ts has the exact same quality if you use the right codec.

Teampspeak is free, so its automatically better in my book.

The client program is free, but the server is not.

i say teamspeak is the best its alot easier to use and uses less system resources.

Having used both, personally I find Ventrilo much better. Easier to set up and use, with much better sound quality.

                        mmm TS all the way.

vent looks ugly anyways lol. not to mention that AI voice thing... I hate that...

Just get both... use the one that the server uses if you want to... or just use VOIP.

Turns out I CAN speak while dead. The others probably just ignored me

I like ventrilo. Easy to set up a local server and get mates connect to it. And all other reasons above.

But TS is for more serious use. More people use it and afaik it has more advanced controls and so on.

Ventrilo all the way, a lot clearer voice quality and nice GUI. For some reason clans on Teamspeak have a habit of broadcasting every bodily noise and otherwise on Ventrilo I rarely have to listen to some guy across the pond yell at his wife for whatever.

Oh and Ventrilo is FREE, well 2.1.4 is
