    8800 gts

Im thinking about buying the 8800 gts but I want to make sure that it fits my computer before I buy it because I have heard of people buying graphics cards and then they dont fit. I have a Dell E521, it is supposed to be highly customizable so that means that it should be able to fit most graphics cards. Do any of you know for sure that an 8800 gts would fit in a Dell E521?

I just realized that this should be in the tech forum, you might need to move this.

Specs of the card are available. Therefore a good ruler (even a bad one) would answer your question much more accurately and quickly than anyone on these forums could.

Best of luck though. Really! I found that if I had a hard drive in a certain position, that my gpu wouldn't fit. Some answers are best left for the individual to determine.

The problem with most dells and an 8800 series is going to be the PSU probably. You can answer your question in 3.00 minutes with a ruler; it might take 20 or thirty to conclusively answer your PSU req's.

        ^^^^^ What he said.

I have to add that even if you measure and it might fit, you could have issues with the cables fitting. My HDD and 8800GTS cable heads can't coexist, so I moved my drives up and down to make room. I also pulled my floppy drive out, no use for it and it was taking up room.
        I have a Viper case.
