Laptop, can it go any better?

I've noticed some problems when I play BF2. I'm starting to think it's my laptop and not my connection. Here are my specs:

Manufacturer: Hewlett-Packard
Processor: Intel(R) Core(TM)2 CPU T7200 @ 2.00GHz (2 CPUs), ~2.0GHz
Memory: 2046MB RAM
Hard Drive: 111 GB
Video Card: NVIDIA GeForce Go 7600
Monitor: Generic PnP Monitor 17" Widescreen
Sound Card: Internal Speaker/Headphone (Conexant High Definition Audio)
Speakers/Headphones:
Keyboard: USB Root Hub
Mouse: USB Root Hub
Mouse Surface: uhh... Touch Pad?
Operating System: Windows Vista™ Ultimate (6.0, Build 6000) (6000.vista_rtm.061101-2205)


I dunno how to run a full DIAG thing, vista, arr... so I just took my specs from xfire, and added some stuff.

"well theres your problem ma'am...uh...sir..." youre running vista? then its sort of a mix of your system specs and your internet connection. vista is reported to be about 15% slower running games, so you will have to lower your graphics settings, also vista connects to the internet differently, it has new ip stacks and IPv6 built into it which dont work with bf2 so well but you may notice it runs pretty good in singleplayer mode, but its just gonna suck online. when i was running vista, on a fresh reboot i could get about 5 minutes of good gameplay before i started lagging and stuttering and the crash to desktop.

oh and the full DIAG thing, -- Start Menu> Run then type "dxdiag" and hit enter, then i usually answer "no" to the question it asks about downloading new certificates, when dxdiag pops up go to the "Display" tab at the top, shows your system specs in there

if i was you id go out and buy a copy of xp pro, but if you want to run vista make it run as an administrator and it should be fine. I found updating the drivers made vista run good!
