Basically, a month ago my old PC died. Twas horribly old and out-dated anyway. Now, in the next week or so, I will be purchasing this system from PC Option:

7.1 High- Definition Audio Digital Soundcard

I was just wondering what settings I could run BF2 at? I'm hoping for High settings as I want to get the most out of this game and my new PC.

AMD, Intel, whatever. Either way, that is a pretty darn good deal. You might look to spend a little more for a slight better video card and you will be set for a few years. Not necessary, the 7900gs is good, but what about the 320mb 8800gts for just a little more? That will give you another year without having to upgrade in the future. But, its your money, you make the call.

Also, take a look at the refresh rate of the monitor. You may experience some ghosting or blurrinesses at high frame rate. You can get fast 2-5ms monitors pretty cheap nowadays too.

id be very warey on how they got it that cheap, as mt mobo ram and CPU hit £600 in november so im scratching my head on how its that lol. Email the company find reveiws etc. For the frezer fan i use one and its amaising.

Nice build. if the mobo has onboard sound, then the i'd stick with that over whatever board they are offering. if you have the option, an x1950pro would be better than a 7900gs and should be in a similar price range..........and if you're going to get a nice(r) graphics card, you're somewhat wasting money unless you also get a decent sized monitor. 19" w/8ms (max) response, 20 or 21" even better.

Not a horrible price for a preassembled pc, though. Keep in mind that "brand new" (actually, they're just double the L2 cache, same speed) C2D processors are being released on the 22nd. Might wait and catch some sales on the old stuff, or grab the new stuff if the price is right.

Alright thanks for the advice guys. But to be honest, I forked out all my money for this machine. I can barely add anymore as it is. In the near future I will be able to spend more on it, but for now, I think I'll stick with what I have.

I mean, I really doubt I will want to play all those DX10 games so a 8800 of any sort is not essensial. Well thanks for all the advice, I will take this onboard for the next time I need to buy (seriously I will). Thanks!!!
