    suggested settings?

    what settings should i be able to run bf2 t a nice fps? here are my specs:

    Pentium 4 @ 3.2Ghz

    1.5 gigs of DDR400 ram

    6800 gs

    400w power supply



    any help appreciated

    Mostly medium. Low textures, max of 1280x1024 (but might be necessary to lower to 1024x768). View distance max, 2xaa, geomtries max. Turn lighting to medium. Shadows and the dynamic duo to low or off for best frame rates.

    View distance and geometries are the two video settings that will most influence your ability to see and hit targets. Personally, I'd set those two to max, and set it at 1280x1024 (or 1024x768) w/2x AA and put everything else to low/off and then adjust upwards until the system started to bog.

    I just upgraded from a 3.0E, 1gb, an x800xt, and that's about where I played.

      well....THANK YOU !! thanks for the help i have it on your suggested settings and i run bf2 smoothely. i dont see much difference between high and medium settings for looks though. anyways thanks

        Thats what i found , wile i can run bf2 on high , i prefer medium for better fps .
