exactly and as there are 4 dimm slots u would have to use 4 512 mb sticks for 2gb of 800.

That is not what it means.

He can still use 2x1024. The limitation of 2GB@800 simply means having more ram than 2GB results in lower than 800MHz speeds, specifically 667, then 533. A similar thing that happened with older s939 AMD's.

Whatever you do, do NOT buy 512mb modules! You will screw yourself from ever having more than 2GB this way...as you might want 4GB when you change to Vista.
