    Issue: BF2 Freezes

i have tried re-installing DirectX9 i have tried re-installing graphics and sound drivers then i re-installed the game. My problem is when i'm playin certain maps:Zatar Wetlands,Gulf of Oman,Fushe Pass,Daquing Oilfields,Dragon Valley,Operation Clean Sweep,Kubra Dam. I dont know what it is about certain things these maps contain but it causes my game to lock & freeze up and there is no alternative of restarting my PC manually (holding the power button for 10 seconds) and this could really damage my PC i would be very gratefull if you gave me some advice or knew other people who had the problem, Yes i have checked the specs i have a Intel pentium D 2.8 (dual core) w/ 1GB RAM nVidia 7300LE 512mb RAM

The 2 files are the BF2 DIAG and the DXDIAG

your gfx card & the RAm is very low. You want to have atleast 1GB of RAM, ideally 2GB, as for that gfx card its crap, sorry for being harsh, but it is.

What settings are you playing the game on?

Try playing them all on low.

What drivers are you using for that card?

    What wattage is your psu?

I agree with this guy. Upgrade your GPU and your memory, but you can always tweak the settings. Try tuning town the specs on your video card outside of the game like the refresh rate, aspect ratio, performance and antialiasing settings, and then tweak the video settings in the game. Your video settings are most likely what's holding you back. More than likely the game is crashing because the card is overheating. Check the temp. before and during a game...you'll notice it gets way hot. So definitely try to upgrade that card.
