    crash!

    I just upgraded to vista and I was eager to start up bf2 again and at first it was very laggy but that went away if I played on for about 15 mins but after 20-25 mins of playing my game just turns off, my computer goes to the desktop, no BSOD or freeze.

          Welcome to VISTA!!!! Sounds like a driver error is causing your crash!!! Try seeing if all your equipment has VISTA compatible drivers....then check the company websites for new ones. Sorry but not every vendor is upto date with VISTA drivers, and as I have found drivers cause 80% of CTDs.

              update: installing new drivers helped the lag but now any server I try to join the game exits out just like I described, however local or single player servers work fine

                  set it to run as administrator and that sorted my issue!

                      ok I reinstalled vista, bf2, patch, everything, then my friend had the same prob I remembered how I was changing my cd key and 2 sho it to someone I just broguht it up and clicked out (IT ERASED THE CD KEY) so I went and reentered it on my friends cpu and lo and behold it worked! lol reinstalled os and game for nothing :laugh: thanks for all the help!
