first off, anyone wanting to buy a joystick do not buy a logitech. They are GARBAGE. They never stay calibrated. issues appear left right and center as if from nowhere. Its like this joystick came from hell. This is satans, sick joystick! Ive tried:
-Calibration (only lasts, lets say, around 30 seconds now)
-tearing out the rubber part of the base
-cleaning the ports
-unplug, discharge buttons
-the logitech profiler (piece of crap, deadzones dont even work)
-and last the dipping in the alcohol. I sprayed alcohol on it, and it did seem to be good for a few days, but now its as crap as ever. (apprantly this cleans out the ports)
Now i cant even pull up (which is the most important direction) without re-calibrating it, and i cant roll right. The center is all "wiggly" and sensitive, while the edges are firm and too insensitive. This thing was crap from day 3, dont buy.
my questions are:
1) is there any extremely technical way to fix this what used to be a joystick.
2) does it make a good paperweight?
3) I've had this thing for 4 years, and ive finally given up, im wondering how all you people say you use this piece of crapola?
4) my only resort would be to buy a new stick if nothing works, i kind of have my eye on the saitek st290, anyone have this? what do u think of it? does it have calibration issues, or is it always perfect?
