    Big Problems with Bf2

I'm ONLY a Sergant and I've had the game for a few months. I KEEP losing connection during the game and I'm quite lucky if I play a whole round, let alone game. Iv'e done everything the guides have told me (nearly) and my system does not have any viruss' and it does meet the system requirements.

    Another problem is loading times - I'm talking loading times of 5 - 10 Minutes. Maybe 20 - 30.

I tried lowering my video setting to medium but no luck..Only works on High.

My internet connection is incredibly bad...Its starting disconnecting every hour even when I'm not on Bf2. (Newly discovered) I'm all lost and I'm not very good with Computers so please go easy and dont be angry if I dont understand..I have alot of Pc issues so erm...any help?

Anybody?? I need help on the connection issues mainly, I'm on a Bt Broadband Hub atm..?

Call up your isp, and rip them a new one for your crappy service. If you keep getting disconnected while just using the computer I'd call the isp first.

Totally agree, there could be excess noise on the line etc...start with your isp and go from there m8..

check your router/modem connection to the computer..who knows maybe it could have something to do with it...
...but mostly do this (it will solve it):

Yes definitely call your ISP. I have had that type of intermittent problem before in the past and come to find out it was a faulty component in the connection outside. That should fix the problem right there. As for the long loading times, it sounds like a stress on your hardware. What kind of PC components are you using in your machine? Try checking your system performance while BF2 is minimized, using <CTRL> <ALT> <DELETE> and check the applications, processes and performance tabs. The applications tab will of course show you all the main applications youre currently running. the processes tab can tell you alot about whats running in the background. In the processes tab, sort the list according to "Mem Usage", and it will tell you what processes are using the most memory. Just remember if theres not enough memory to go around, its like trying to find a parking space in a full parking lot. The performace tab shows you the CPU and page file usage along with all that great stuff at the bottom. BF2 uses alot of resources to play smoothly so if your games are taking forever to load, or youre getting choppy play it could mean low system resources.

Please post your system specs, so we can see what you are working with!! In the mean time call your ISP to test the connection, Noise on Line and their equipment down to your modem. (You might be losing a lot of packets....hence the slow speed of connection)

Call your isp, thats the first and only thing you need to be doing right now.

ok to me it sounds like your using wireless and the connection is dropping (sorry if this has been addressed allready) Try wiring up via erthenet test your firewall settings.

Ask you ISP to do a "line test".

Id do some basic house keeping like running a defragment and scan disk. Goto msconfig and stop programs booting up you dont need, Also check for spyware and viruses etc!

Well that helps, (No sarcasm intended) I am using wireless, but I'm connected by an ethernet Cable. I'll try an ethernet test thingy, when my dad gets back i'll call my isp.

What shall i say to them?
