NFS Shift is amazing. Though Spiked is right, the handling is a bit off, but not enough to throw you off the game. I can easily make some real-world comparisons, the EVO (ten) is well off it's abilities in the game, it turns poorly. Of course, I don't drive the thing at the speeds in the game, but the difference is significant.
Plus don't use a damn keyboard, racing games are meant to be played on a wheel.
BUT, the drift races are ANNOYING. Suddenly the steering is psychic and reads your mind and oversteers at any input you give.
It's sad that the threw out their storyline based racers like Underground, then again, it isn't open world. A shame, because Underground 1 and 2 were awesome.
