              Basically at gallipoli the main story is, the men in charge had a lack of brains, throw in some tough terrain and an enemy entrenched in defensive positions and eek

              sadly this is the case for much of the early periods of the first world war

              then you get to the later years and a certain other country is the one running around like Rambo getting mowed :p (I'll let you guess who that was)

                and for us the australian view that they were the only ones who did anything and other countries werent even involved. Some kids here didnt even know new zealand was involved despite "NZ" being featured in ANZAC. you find interesting but facepalming things while researching.

                  hehe if it wasn't for Australian, New Zealand or the soldiers from places such as Canada etc, both wars would have turned out very differently tbfh

                      believe it or not in WW1 the Canadians were far superior in combat than the Americans
