I was benching and almost dropped the damn barbell directly on my face. Typically I do 160 + the bar (35 lbs) 10 times and then do 90 lbs 20 times. However, this time I thought I could do the 195 lbs 12 times. (Mind you that I had nothing in my stomach and no spotter). As I finished rep number 11 I was thinking to myself, "man that would suck if I dropped this". As that went through my head, almost on cue, I saw my wrists begin to roll back to drop the bar. At the last second, my palms pushed forward pushing the bar off at an angle. The weights barely missed my head and landed in the floor (putting a decent size hole in the wall on the way down.).
Long story short... my head was almost crushed like a berry.
