I was going to make a thread to see if we could talk about the climate without being political, I dont know if im getting older and more media aware or super weather is getting more prevelant.

I actually agree. One thing I've really noticed in my area is how strong the lightning can get. In the last few years I've heard thunder that is many more times louder than before and I've had lightning strike 10 feet directly above my head. Maybe it was a really weak strike but it was nothing compared to the lightning I hear today. 25 years of normal lightning and then a number of WTF kinda lightning is this ****. It's not just louder the time between strikes is quicker.

I've had lightning strike 10 feet directly above my head.

That's happened to me at a Six Flags White Water. It struck a small tree branch behind the bench I was sitting in.

I still don't have an amp, since I started on bass and only branched into guitar more recently (not really that hard since I already play piano and took sax/clarinet lessons for a decade... but still gotta take these things slowly :P). I have a nice little USB interface and Guitar Rig. Only time I get to use a real amp is when I play at church twice a month
