resolution

i was messing around with bf2 res and ****ed up. now my monitor can display the game.

i searched forums and tried the methods mentioned but couldnt get them to work. i go to the video file but cant open it, it asks me what program to open it with. i teried opening with notepad and canging soem numbers that looked like resolution to my monitor's resolution, but it doesnt work.

please help

so let me get this straight
u went to
C:\Documents and Settings\Name\My Documents\Battlefield 2\Profiles\0001

opened Video.con with notebook

found something like
VideoSettings.setResolution 1280x1024@60Hz

and changed it to look more like

VideoSettings.setResolution 800x600@60Hz



im guessing u did it incorrecltty cuz that method should work, like maybe a typo or soemthing

hahahha yeah that is me. woah, stalker.....DD ill check the thing again

i was going to the wrong video.con file.. thanks for help, ima go check to see if it works


and btw, whats the whole story wth the picture?

tried it first with 1024 by 1280, which is my monitors default, didnt work, tried with 800 by 600, didnt work, what can i do?

hmm strange that it didnt work. well i guess u can try deleting ur profile folder and then retrieve ur account again and itll be at defaults i think

and about the pic...well first its project reality from like december and i saw u aiming ur rocket launcher at the heli and the heli gun was aimed at u so i was thinking like..oo cool screenshot...rocket laucner vs heli gun

and then like 3 seconds later u fire and bam, down goes the chopper.
