Wireless Drivers Troubles

hi, i recently upgraded to windows XP pro 64 bit edition. obviously i didnt have internet when i rebooted my computer because i dont have the drivers......but i have all my drivers including fotr the wireless card on a usb flash drive. but what i didnt know is that my wireless card does not have a driver for XP pro 64bit. so i was wondering if you guys can help me find a wireless card, or usb wireless adapter that has a 64bittt driver. if you know of an item please let me know

I tried 2 PCI cards and a Linksys USB card with no success . Found a Belkin USB adapter that SHOULD have worked via PlanetAMD64 website but unfortunately although the one I bought was the correct model , it was the wrong version . So be careful , even though you can get the right model , there is no guarantee that it will be the right version. be warned.

Dont worry about a 64 bit driver. Most programs are 32 bit anyway. The problem could be in how youre configuring your wireless with it's access point. Both the node and the access point have to be on the same channel, frequency and using the same encryption method if you have it set up. Make sure that the USB dongle and wireless router or whatever you use are using the same protocol, ( 802.11 a,b or g) but ultimately make sure they are on the same channel and using the same encryption method. I have a linysys router with a wireless access point and i have a linksys game adapter hooked up to my xbox 360, and both came with installation CDs that i had to use to configure both devices. A little research will go along way; dont get discouraged and buy something else thinking that it will solve the problem. all networking devices have to adhere to an IEEE protocol standard which makes wireless netorking products interchangeable despite differences in manufacturer.
