The golden rule to operating a computer is very simple. DONT OVERCLOCK ANYTHING. Its better to just buy more powerful hardware in the first place because O/C ing usually causes more problems than it solves. Most warranties become void when you O/C and you can do a lot of damage to your parts. I read that games like BF2 will not run optimally on an overclocked rig. And, a bigger than the balls of christ power supply is vital on any machine.

That's BS, my system has been OCed since the past 6 months. The ONLY way to do what you're talking about is to do something retarded and maybe try setting your FSB to 6GHZ or something retarded.

I don't know about you but I'd be damned if I would mess around at the risk of burning something out just for the sake of a few extra frames or w_ank points in a benchmark. And who says everybody is an expert when it comes to overclocking? Most people who dabble with settings have no idea what they're doing and to promote O/C ing is irrisponsible. Some noob will try it and see no result, so he'll ramp everything up even more and then will cook something. Never heard of voiding a warranty?
