Re: Low FPS
Dude I ran a similar setup to yours for a VERY long time. The AMD Athlon XP processor, well in particular the Barton core 3200+ 400fsb was a great processor, and I still have a few lying around in case of an emergency I can slap together a 32-bit system. Just to give you a focal point, my old setup was: DFI Lanparty NF2 Ultra mobo, AMD Athlon XP 3200+, 2Gb DDR corsair platinum 667MHz, with a BFG tech 7800 gt-oc. With a custom water-cooled integrated case, I ran BF2 with no problems. The only reason I switched over to a 64-bit system is because I ran into what I wanted for the right price. With Moore's Law, literally every 18 months something new and improved with surpass what we all already own. But I will say that AGP-interfaced video cards are becoming harder and harder to find. PCI-e and technology like ATI crossfire and Nvidia SLI are going to permanently extinguish AGP, and its only a matter of time. But I was one of those choosen few who held on as long as I could, but switching over to a PCI-e interface video and 64-bit process was an inevitability I could'nt pass up. But definitely with that Barton core 3200+, some good memory for overclocking and a solid motherboard you can play just about any game with no problems.
