How to turn off graphics card sharing memory?

I gave my old computer parts to my dad, and one is my old ati x300. The computer only has 512 mb of ram, and i want to turn off the memory sharing that the x300 has, but i can't find out how to. so, can someone tell me how to stop it from borrowing system memory?

I would assume that it is something you can set/enable/disable in the drivers/control panel.

Does this card have memory with it. If it does it shouldnt share memory. But you can go to run and type dxdiag and see how much memory is being used.

Check your bios. I know mine has (or had) the option for memory sharing.

yes, it has 128 of its own, and it borrows another 128 from the system. I've checked in the bios and the video control panel, but i havent found anything.
