what happened to the 7950gx2's?

    what happened to the 7950gx2's?

    These used to be the rage before the 8800"s were unveiled and now i cant find them anywere,they were considered to be top notch as u could run them in "quad" sli,anyone know why they just disappeared?

    They havent disappeared anywhere you can still buy them but atm it would be pointless since the midrange 8xxx series cards will be launched soon. You can buy 8800GTS 640mb for less price than 7950gx2 .

      well yeah its just that no one talks abotu them anymore,they just vanished pretty much from marketing attempts.

        The 8950GX2 is slated to replace them. Guess they want a build-up.

          Because they're overrated; quad SLI is only as good as the drivers that support it, and well...they dont have drivers that utilize the full potential of quad sli. Plus you can probably pick up a 8 series card for less than a 7950 gx2
