baisically when i start the game the screens all black then just quits

Your system doesn't meet the requirments!! or your graphics card at least! This is most likely the problem. What do you have???

That's informative...


Go to Start = > Run and type in MSINFO32 and hit enter.

Under System Summary and Components, you will find all you need.

Write in:

CPU and the clock speed in MHz or GHz
How much memory you have (1024MB?)
Your gfx card (it'll say in Display in the Name field)

I.e.

Intel Pentium 4 HT @ 3.5GHz
2048MB PC4200 DDR2 Ram
nVidia 7800GTX


(note that I'm just making **** up to give you an idea....)


Also, do you get this with any other games? Have you updated your video drivers?

saying you have a nvidia graphics card is REALLY vague man...it is like saying "I have a computer". If you can't find out which card you have, tell me what computer you have (brand,model, model number, etc) and I'll try to look it up for you.

Your computer should work fine, especially with a 7800gtx, thats way over the minimum requirments.
If you didn't already, unistall the game. Before re-installing battlefield 2 click on this link http://www.nvidia.com/content/drivers/drivers.asp to download and reinstall the drivers for your graphics card. Click "Graphics Driver", then in step 2 click on "Geforce and TNT2", and then in box 3 click on "Windows XP/Media Center Edition" Finally click "GO" below it and download the file from the "Primary Download Site". When they're done downlaoding, install them. Its really easy and fast. After you finish, restart your computer and re-install Battlefield 2. It should work. If not, then it is something else that should not be hard to figure out. I didn't know that 7800gtx would fit in that computer but if you say you have it I think this should work. Hope this helps you out man.

thanks guys problem sorted though it wasnt to do with the graphics somehow or other each time i installed the game a file got deleted but i sorted it now so thanks

maybe see you lot around online when i go on it
