So i'm looking to get 2gig of ram for my new system. The problem is I don't know much about CAS timings and speeds. I don't want to overclock the ram. So, is it worth buying this ram:
2GB (2x1GB) CorsairTwinX XMS2, DDR2 PC2-6400 (800), 240 Pins, Non-ECC Unbuffered, CAS 4-4-4-12, EPP

Or buying the cheaper but slower version:
2Gb (2X1Gb) Corsair TwinX XMS2, DDR2 PC5400 (667), 240 Pin, Non-ECC Unbuffered, CAS 4-4-4-12

Will the more expensive ram make much of a difference? Thanks.

The only difference you will have is when OC'ing your cpu.

Like cloaker said, the only difference is when you OC your CPU. The more you OC your CPU, and the faster RAM you have, means that your system will be more stable when you OC. If you don't, then go with the cheaper.

Because I don't think I'm going to overclock my cpu anyway.

No, actually, faster ram is better in general. It will make a difference in every case, OC or not. Get the more expensive one if you can. However, CPUs, then graphics card take precedence over RAM when it comes to this, in that order.
