I'm considoring buying this...

I will be using it as a second monitor with my old 17" tft. Im not very good with monitors and was just wandering whether or not this was a good purchase. (seems VERY good value for money)

I will buy it here
and i got the reveiws for it here

If I am correct, it will stand abouy the same height as my 17" on screen (?).

Will all of this work? I really dont have a clue :], that why I came here.

contrast ratio is a bit low at 600:1. 800-900;1 would be better so black is displayed as black and not grey. loads of 300-350 ones out there not worth touching with a bargepole.

The response time of 8ms is pushing things, 4-5ms is better.

although both those 19" not the 20" you are looking at. they have much higher contrast ratio and 5ms response time and the prices are good. People are saying use google checkout for first time and get a £10 discount off the Fujitsu Siemens one, but I didn't see that on checkout, so we'll see after the bill arrives. (unfortunately going on holiday when the monitor is arriving so can't review its usefuillness for about 3 weeks from now!

nice just make sure your PC has the horsepower to handle that res and make sure to modify the shortcut so it will work at that res...
