E6400 Bottlenecks??

simple Question that needs a simple answer. I am buying an e6400 CPU weather or not its the 2mb version or 4 mb im not sure, will it bottleeck my 8800 GTS ?

Also, are bottlenecks un healthy for your card? As in do they cause over heating ?

If you overclocker it a little, it will not bottleneck your video card. Bottlenecks are unhealthy, but they don't cause any physical damage. You just won't get the max you can out of your graphics card, since you have to limit your settings to match those that your CPU can handle.

Another big thing nowadays is 2 gigs of RAM. Having 2 gigs of RAM also helps cut down on any bottlenecks.
