Putting Computer in Standby, Video Card Fan Stays On

Hi, I have a 7600gt and when I put my computer into standby, the super loud fan stays on. Is there a way to get it to turn off while in standby?

    Thanks

      Hahaha, you are correct.
But I don't think It would do as much damage when the computer is on standby.
      It's mostly need for gaming.

You could do one of three things:

Firstly, if you have Oced the card with Coolbits make sure the box that says "Always run fan at highest speed" isn't checked. However, make sure this isn't going to fry your card

Secondly, using the OCing program: rivatuner, you can set an exact fan speed. It accepts anything from 0%-100% and you can also set up profiles with different settings. You don't have to have your card overclocked to use this feature, same with coolbits

Thirdly, don't use standby, use hibernation....
