Gamepads

I was thinking of getting the logitech rumblepad for Battlefield 2, i was woundering if anyone else uses gamespads/controllers for bf2 or is it a waste of money?

I use my gamepad for racing games, and would never think of using them for FPS, especially one like BF2 when long range encounters are frequent and precise aiming is crucial.

mouse + keyboard is just better when you have some practice than gamepad as you have so much more control of fine movements
