Need help with rig!! Thanks!

Hey I'm new to this forum but thought maybe some of you can help! Running battlefield 2 or 2142 on my rig is awful!! My 3DMark06 score is crap too, about 1700, give or take. I think my processor is the whole problem. Heres what I have.

Intel Celeron 2.4gh Processor
768 RAM (3x 256)
BFG 6800ultra oc AGP
Soundblaster Soundcard
Plextor DVD 16x burner
160gb Wester Digital Harddrive

Not sure of the motherboard but its agp, has 3 ddr memory slots, and 4 pci slots.

-I've been editing video for years, including HDV, on high end programs (Adobe Premier and Vegas 6). The HDV really slows down the processor!! so advice would be great about a decent processor thats not too expensive. My 6800 ultra is a good agp card so i think thats okay. But processor and ram??? Thanks alot for your time!!

what socket is you processor?

The motherboard is a Shuttle AV49v/vn and it says its supports:

Intel Pentium4/Celeron 478 pin processors with 400/533 MHz FSB

So its a 478 Socket.

i have a simular motherboard except mine is duel channel memory. you ram would be an issue BF2 is very ram hungry, 6800 is a good card the processor altho isnt the best should be fine in playing if you want to upgrade the processor i suggust looking on e-bay not too sure if you can still buy new 478 processors
