    Weird Problem...

    Screenshots:

    Specs:
    Core 2 Duo 6600
    OCZ 550W PSU
    Asus P5N-32SLi Premium
    1GB PNY DDR2 667mhz ram
    XP Pro SP2
    BFG 8800 GTS
    3x WD SATA hdd's

I get what the screen shots show along with some stuttering, I have everything on high except for effects and AA is off. 1024x768 resolution.

I re-installed BF2 twice and used RivaTuner to make sure the fan is 100% all the time to no avail.

It's your drivers. The Nvidia's drivers for the 8XXX series cards are still in Beta, so your going to have to wait until they update them and release new ones.

Last I checked, the 8800GTS XP drivers weren't beta, but you may be right

most likely a driver issue. dig around for different ones, remember to use driver cleaner.

The stuttering is your ram....No doubt your trying to max out bf2 with this sucker, I know I would, but you wont be able to beat around it, minimum 2gb for no stuttering... maybe 1.5gb, but at this point in time 2gb should be recommended and in the long run when crysis comes out you'll be glad u did.

I have the same problem I play on 1gb and average 80fps but still stutter every once in awhile even while it shows I'm at 80+fps.

ive used 3 GTS on this game and theres no way it should be doing that. We tested the GTS with bf2 for hours on the same mobo and it played fine even on "beta" drivers and Overclocked. Id first RMA the card or wait for the drivers to be improved but as nvidia are busy with vista that could take awhile!

Yea, I figured the ram was causing the stuttering as I had that with my last rig until I upgraded to 2GB, I should be doing that on this rig soon.

I turned texture filtering down and it seemed to work a lot better the last time I played.
