OK, I'm new. And I have a few questions.

1) How can I unlock weapons? I've gone into my BFHQ screen and it says I've unlocked a P-90 and something else, how do I get my hands on them?

2) How can I do easy speak (i.e. computer says "get in", "thanks", or "enemy tank") while in the field? I need to communicate more.

3) How much do people actually chat on here with Teamspeak (or whatever audio chat program people may use)?

I'm sure for most these are easy questions, your help is greatly appreciated.

1. When in game, on a ranked server. Go to the weapons select screen (while dead, getting ready to spawn...) and look at the weapons. In the top right little "box" of every weapon is two little arrows. Click on this to switch between normal weapons and unlocks.

2. Use the command-rose. Default button is 'Q'. Press this and a "rose" with many different words and such will appear. Use your mouse to select one and left-click. This will make your soldier speak "easy speak".

3. Teamspeak is a program outside of BF2 that uses Voice-over-IP to transmit voiced on certain Teamspeak servers. I suspect that you are asking about the VOIP (Voice-Over-IP) in BF2. (When the little speaker goes green near the bottom left of your screen...) To do this, you need to have a microphone, and you need to press and hold the "VOIP hot key" while speaking. This will transmit your voice to the rest of the squad.

All of these questions, as you suspected are very basic, and that's not necessarily a bad thing. We welcome new players and it good to know more people are joining BF2 and TotalBF2 all the time.

1) Is the only way to unlock weapons is through combat experience? (I'm going to read the tutorial right after this in order to hopefully get a reply - but yours will be a reassurance too).

2) How do I get my account ID number?

3) Is there a way that I can change the "skin" of my character? (Just asking).

1.well you get points for killing,assist killing,taking flags, defending flags and re-ammo,revive. so the more points you get the higher your rank is and for every rank you git a unlock.

2.plenty of sites that tell you.

3.if you mean like skin tone then no. you can edit the files but then it want work in multiplayer but only local or maybe single player.
